The short version
- Havely is free to start. Havely Pro is a subscription through the App Store or Google Play; cancel it there, any time.
- Your guides are yours. You decide what goes in them and who gets a link.
- Anyone with an open link can see that guide, so share it only with your sitter.
- Havely helps, but it isn’t an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.
- Use Havely fairly, and we’ll do our best to keep it safe and working.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Amersan (Dutch Chamber of Commerce 42013782), the company that makes Havely. They apply to the Havely app for iPhone and Android, the sitter view (on havely.co, as an App Clip and in the app) and havely.co. By using Havely, you agree to them. How we handle your data is in our privacy notice.
Your account
- To make guides you need an Amersan Account: the same account you may already use for Maveon and other Amersan apps. Sitters can open a guide without an account.
- You must be 16 or older to have an account. Opening a guide someone shares with you needs no account, and has no minimum age.
- Keep your sign-in safe. Tell us at support@havely.co if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can share a household with a partner or housemate. Everyone in a household can see and change its guides.
Free and Pro
You can use Havely for free. The free version includes one active guide, sharing, links that expire, codes and the emergency screen, and stays useful on its own. Havely Pro adds more, such as more guides. What each version includes is shown in the app. We may change what the free version includes, and if that affects you, we’ll tell you in the app beforehand.
A sitting never stops halfway. If your Pro subscription ends during a stay you shared, that stay keeps working until it ends. After that, your account goes back to the free version; your guides are kept.
Paying and cancelling
- You buy Havely Pro in the app, through the App Store or Google Play. They charge you and their payment terms apply. The price, any free trial and how often you pay are shown before you confirm.
- Pro renews automatically at the end of each period, unless you cancel before it renews (in the App Store, at least 24 hours before).
- Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Pro then keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel the subscription.
- Refunds, including any right of withdrawal you have under EU law, are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.
- Launch offer: if you joined the waitlist before Havely launched, your first year of Havely Pro is €6.99. We email you how to claim it. After that first year, Pro renews at the regular price shown in the store, unless you cancel.
Your guides
- Your guides are yours. You give us permission to store them, show them to the people you share them with and, when you use those features, translate them or answer questions from them. Only to run Havely for you, and only for as long as you keep them.
- You decide what’s in a guide, and you’re responsible for it. Keep it accurate and up to date, especially medical details, allergies and emergency contacts.
- Only add other people’s details, such as a neighbour’s phone number, if they’re fine with it.
- Anyone with an open link can see the guide until the stay ends or you close it. Share a link only with your sitter, use a PIN if you like, and close a link when you no longer need it.
- Don’t put anything in a guide that is illegal or that you have no right to share.
For sitters
If a family shares a guide with you, use it only to look after their home, children or pets. Keep the link, the codes and the details in it to yourself, and don’t pass them on. What you tick off in the guide, and when you opened a code, is visible to the family.
Not an emergency service
In an emergency, call 112 (or the emergency number of the country you’re in). Havely shows the information a family put in their guide, such as the address and allergies, but it doesn’t replace emergency services, a doctor or a vet, and it doesn’t check whether that information is correct.
AI features
Havely can fill in a guide from what you say or paste, answer a sitter’s questions from the guide, and show the guide in the sitter’s own language. AI can make mistakes: always check a guide made with AI before you share it. Answers come only from what is in the guide; Havely doesn’t give medical advice, and for anything urgent it points to 112 first. A translation may not be perfect, so the sitter can switch to your original text.
Fair use
Please don’t:
- use Havely for anything illegal, or to harass or harm someone;
- try to get into guides, links or accounts that aren’t yours, for example by guessing links;
- overload, scrape or attack Havely, or get round its limits;
- copy, resell or take apart the app, except where the law allows you to.
If someone breaks these rules, we may close a link or suspend an account. Where we can, we tell you first and explain why.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Havely available and safe, but we can’t promise it will always work without interruption, for example during maintenance or an outage at one of our providers. That’s one more reason to also share the most important things, such as your phone number, with your sitter directly. We keep improving Havely and may change or stop features; if a change takes away something you pay for, we tell you in advance.
Stopping
You can stop using Havely at any time, and delete your Havely data or your whole Amersan Account in the app, under Settings → Account → Delete account, or without the app. Cancel a Pro subscription separately in the App Store or Google Play. We may end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms; if we stop offering Havely altogether, we’ll tell you well in advance.
Liability
Havely is a tool to pass on information; families and sitters stay responsible for the care they give and arrange. As far as the law allows, Amersan is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, or for damage caused by wrong or missing information in a guide. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Havely Pro in the 12 months before the damage. None of this limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law.
Apple and Google
These terms are between you and Amersan, not Apple or Google; Amersan, not Apple or Google, is responsible for Havely and its support. If you downloaded Havely from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play terms of service also apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Havely gets new features. For changes that matter, we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Havely and delete your account before then.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country. Something wrong? Please email us first at support@havely.co; we’ll try to sort it out together. If we can’t, a dispute goes to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
